We were at Lamu island, it is a port / island off the shore of Kenya in the Indian Ocean, about 150 miles from Mombasa. Vacationers go to Lamu for a night or two, but if you have the time, it merits a longer stay. The favourite things to do in the sleepy island is go out on a sail boat on trips to other islands, snorkelling, fishing trips, sunset cruises, visit other villages around the coast.
